Several years after the defeat of Majin Buu, peace has returned to Earth. Far away, Beerus, the immensely powerful God of Destruction, awakens from a long sleep and learns of the Saiyan who defeated Frieza. His search soon leads him to Goku, placing Earth in danger and setting the stage for a battle powerful enough to shake the universe.
