Michio finally achieved his goal in episode 3 of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World. In episode 1, he was captivated by a slave named Roxanne, because of her beauty and swore that he was going to buy Roxanne, no matter what. In this episode, we were able to see Michio’s dedication.
Since Michio was just isekai’d to another world, the concept of killing another person is still hard for him. However, to obtain the required money enough to buy Roxanne, he threw away his humanity and killed tons of bandits who had bounties on their heads. Honestly, his conviction exceeded my expectations. I thought after killing just one, he was going to struggle and would overthink what he has done, like other anime characters from other series who are not used to killing.
At first, Michio still felt lost after the killings he made. Though the next day, he was in a good mood and immediately went to the slave trader to buy Roxanne. There, Roxanne revealed that she doubted Michio and thought he would not come for her. Still, the episode had a happy ending because it seems that Roxanne wanted to be bought by Michio.
The episode overall was not bad. Even though the pacing is a bit slow for me since it took 3 episodes for the two main characters of the series to be together, we saw Michio’s character development and how he became stronger in his battles. Now, we can assume that he is strong enough to protect Roxanne whenever they are fighting in the labyrinth. Although since she is a slave their relationship might go in another direction.
