Koikimo episode 11 is finally out! Things from the previous episode got really intense, especially when Ryo confronted Matsushima about his true feelings. Also, the happenings from Ryo and Ichika’s date contributed to it. With that, the episode this week continues to bring a development for Ichika and Ryo.
To start off, Ichika realizes that she doesn’t have future plans yet for herself. Thus, she seeks advice from her friends because all of them already have their own future plans. What’s more, she also seeks help from Tamaru. It’s a good thing that the two of them are still friends after the rejection Tamaru suffered from Ichika in episode 9.
About this part, for me, it was really surprising that Tamaru gives Ichika a hint – that the one she must ask for advice is Ryo. Therefore, while having a phone call from Ryo, Ichika asks him for an advice. After that, Ichika finally took a hint on what career might be suitable for her to pursue in college.
Judging from Ichika’s trust to Ryo’s suggestions, it seems that she and Ryo are really having a development.
After a few days, Ichika decides that she will pursue a curator’s career in the future. Of course, it’s all thanks to Ryo.
Another highlight in the episode is that Ryo and Rio’s father finally makes an appearance. Likewise, it seems that Ryo and his father really don’t get along with each other. In fact, his dad scolded him when he found out that Ryo is making a move on Ichika. The reason for his anger towards his son is the fact that Ichika is only a high school girl. Moreover, he thinks that Ryo would only drag down Rio in life because of his actions.
However, the next day, Ichika met Rio and Ryo’s papa. There, Ichika says to him that Ryo is taking good care of her. Furthermore, she also says that he is a good guy. Hence, Rio’s father smiles from what he heard. It looks like he still loves Ryo even though they are not getting along with each other.
Also in this episode, there is a part that Ichika and Ryo spends their time alone under the cherry blossom trees. Based from what are they talking about, there is a scene where Ichika nearly tells her feelings to Ryo. However, before she says it, they were interrupted by Rio and Masuda.
It’s really a good thing that here in Koikimo episode 11, we can see another development for Ichika and Ryo. What kind of relationship awaits to the two of them in the future? You can watch the next episode, “You’re Creepy,” on Crunchyroll this June 14.

One rainy day, salaryman Amakusa Ryo is saved by a high school girl he doesn’t know at the station. He later finds out that the girl is Arima Ichika. Ryo is somewhat of a womanizer and to repay her for saving him, he suggests giving her a kiss or going out on a date with her, in which Ichika tells him he’s creepy.
This, however, opens a new door for Ryo and he falls madly in love with her. Ever since then, Ryo tries to overly express his feelings to Ichika. Ichika just keeps insulting him and says he’s being creepy, but he just seems to take it as her way of showing affection towards him…
