Oricon has revealed the official sales number for One Piece volume 100, and it has sold over a million copies. This makes the One Piece manga the first manga series in history to have 100 volumes with each one having over a million cumulative copies. The latest volume released last Friday on September 3rd, and it was immediately decided to be reprinted after release. You can check out the cover of volume 100 below:

Eiichiro Oda / Shueisha

Eiichiro Oda began the One Piece serialization for Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997. It has since become an iconic manga series with almost 500 million circulating copies total. Oda-sensei made a message for the fans after volume 100 released, joking how it’s already taking too much space in their rooms. The manga recently released chapter 1024, and the anime is getting closer to episode 1000. To commemorate the fact, there are still ongoing projects, and one of the most notable ones was the WE ARE ONE video collection of live-action dramas featuring some animated sequences. You can always check them all out (titled by the animated parts):

The “TWILIGHT” song by RADWIMPS was another great thing about the project, and you can watch that below:
