“WE ARE ONE” has released the 3rd episode, and it once again had both a live-action and animated segment. The story this time follows a boy named Riku who moves in from Kansai and doesn’t fit in well at start. Then he meets Kaito, a young adult who jokes around with him and recommends the One Piece manga. He gets mad at Kaito when he learns that he’s about to leave him, which is what brings back the reanimated part of Law backstory featuring Corazon and Doflamingo. Watch the full video:
Corazon’s sacrifice for Law was extremely touching in the One Piece manga and anime. This video brings back that feeling, and it was cool seeing the backstory between Law, Corazon and Doflamingo reanimated! Mika Ninagawa directed this video as with the past 2. The live-action part cast Sota Fukushi, Kenshiro Kato and Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy’s voice actress. You can even hear a kid Luffy voice say “Nakama deshou ka!” (Let’s all be friends) which was awesome). Meanwhile, Hiroshi Kamiya (Law) and Koichi Yamadera (Corazon) reprised their roles as the characters’ voices. The theme song “TWILIGHT” by RADWIMPS was present, just like in the Zoro and Sanji in Davy Back Fight and the powerful women characters episodes.
This is the 3rd video of the “WE ARE ONE” collection. It’s a project to commemorate One Piece’s 100th manga volume and 1000th anime episode. It will be a collection of 5 videos, and we’ll get to see the remaining 2 in the following days. The 2nd one also revealed Yamato’s voice actress to be Hayami Saori!
UPDATE: All the videos are now out, along with the full version of the TWILIGHT by RADWIMPS and special message from Eiichiro Oda to fans! Watch the last 2 videos (titled by the animated segments):
