SpongeBob SquarePants x ONE PIECE Happy Meal Animated Video Revealed, Collaboration Launches on September 15

SpongeBob SquarePants and ONE PIECE are joining forces for a McDonald’s Happy Meal collaboration, with the promotion officially launching at participating restaurants in the United States on September 15, 2026. Other countries have also been confirmed to participate. This isn’t the first collaboration between the franchises.

The collaboration was highlighted with a special animated video shared by the official ONE PIECE channel on August 31. Titled “SpongeBob SquarePants x ONE PIECE Combined Intro,” the video brings together elements of the two series as part of the Happy Meal campaign.

McDonald’s has confirmed that the U.S. collection will feature 15 exclusive toys combining characters from Bikini Bottom with characters from ONE PIECE. The figures include:

• SpongeBob as Monkey D. Luffy
• Patrick Star as Roronoa Zoro
• Squidward as Sanji
• Gary the Snail as Tony Tony Chopper.
• Sandy Cheeks as Nami
• Plankton as Usopp
• Pearl as Nico Robin
• Larry the Lobster as Franky
• Mr. Krabs as Jinbe
• Mrs. Puff as Big Mom
• Flying Dutchman as Blackbeard
• Smitty Werbenjägermanjensen as Brook
• Barnacle Boy as Koby
• Mermaid Man as Garp
• SpongeBob as Gear 5 Luffy

The collaboration has been rolling out internationally on different schedules. Some regional McDonald’s campaigns feature 12 collectible character figures paired with interchangeable ships that combine imagery and locations from both franchises.

Upcoming ONE PIECE Projects

• A new LEGO special animation project releasing with two episodes on September 29
• Season 3 of the live-action series is set for 2027, having revealed new Alabasta cast recently
• The franchise also has the upcoming remake anime by WIT Studio set to premiere in February 2027
• A new game titled ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet launching on October 23, 2026
• Two new anime films, with ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY set for Summer 2027 and ONE PIECE FILM BAAD set for 2029
