The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent Season 2 premiere started off with somewhat of a cliffhanger. The first few minutes of the episode showcased an action scene, breaking off with the peaceful and wholesome vibe that was almost always present in the first season, and showing our heroine in quite the predicament.
This came as a surprise, as the first season ended on a relaxed note without any notable drama. We soon discover that the first scene was only an appetizer designed to hook you in order to get your interest in what is yet to come, and it does its job. It also serves as a showcase for improvements in the animation compared to the first season, and the ability of the studio to get fight scenes down.
Once that introduction is over, however, we get back to where we left our cast off in the first season, and return to the wholesome slice-of-life vibes we know and love. We follow our adorable saint in her usual everyday life as she keeps bringing original inventions into her new universe. We got some very sweet moments between the main duo involving unprotected hand-holding. And of course, as every self-respecting isekai protagonist should, she set off on her quest to find rice.
