A special My Hero Academia 10th anniversary popup shop will open across Japan beginning on August 28, 2026, featuring new merchandise based on a visual adapted from an illustration by series creator Kohei Horikoshi.
Titled My Hero Academia 10th Anniversary Shop: Top 10 Heroes Gather, the event is presented by TOHO animation and will feature the top 10 characters from the global WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll held in 2024.
The main visual is based on Horikoshi’s original illustration of the poll’s highest-ranked characters, with the composition recreated in the anime’s art style. The artwork features the following characters:
- Katsuki Bakugo
- Izuku Midoriya
- Shoto Todoroki
- Shota Aizawa
- Eijiro Kirishima
- Endeavor
- Hawks
- Dabi
- Tomura Shigaraki
- Phantom Thief
New products using the anniversary visual will be sold at the popup shop. Additional merchandise featuring previously released visuals from the same “Top 10 Heroes” series will also be announced at a later date.
The shop is part of the ongoing celebration marking the 10th anniversary of the My Hero Academia anime. Based on Horikoshi’s manga, the series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014 and concluded in August 2024. Another new anime, a short focused on Eri, is set to release on streaming platforms on August 2.
Horikoshi is also returning to the magazine with a new 61-page horror one-shot titled Don’t Laugh, Shijima-san, marking his first one-shot since the conclusion of My Hero Academia. The manga will be published in the combined Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 37/38 on August 10.
The event will begin in Tokyo before traveling to several other locations across Japan.
