The new My Hero Academia anime 10th anniversary project was revealed to be MHA ULTRA EXPO, a new event set to be held in 2027 in Japan. The new two-day event will be held in April 17-18, 2027, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. It will serve as the finale of the anime’s 10th anniversary project.
Described by the organizers as the largest event in the anime’s history, MHA ULTRA EXPO will feature exhibitions in Makuhari Messe’s Exhibition Halls 2 and 3, along with stage programming in the Event Hall.
An official website and X account have opened for the event. More details, including the program, guests and ticket information, will be revealed in early October 2026.
Kohei Horikoshi drew the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August 2024. The series ended last year after a 10-year run, getting numerous illustrations and messages for the conclusion.
The anime adaptation first premiered in April 2016 and has since become one of the most popular modern shonen franchises worldwide. It concluded with Episode 170 on December 13, 2025.
Horikoshi also returned to the magazine with a new 61-page horror one-shot titled Don’t Laugh, Shijima-san, marking his first one-shot since the conclusion of My Hero Academia.
