My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi shared a new illustration celebrating an upcoming figure based on the color page released shortly before the manga’s final chapter.
“The color title page from before the final chapter is being turned directly into figures! Amazing!” Horikoshi wrote alongside the illustration, which features Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki.
Fans noticed an extra finger on Todoroki’s raised hand in Horikoshi’s drawing, giving the character six fingers. Horikoshi acknowledged the mistake in a follow-up post, responding: “Ah, it’s true, Todoroki’s fingers! Amazing!”
Yuki Kaji, the Japanese voice actor for Shoto Todoroki, also joined the exchange with a joke:
“I can unleash more fire than usual! Yay!”
The illustration itself promotes figures recreating Horikoshi’s artwork from the manga’s pre-finale color page. The six-finger detail is limited to Horikoshi’s newly shared drawing and is not part of the actual figure design.
Kohei Horikoshi drew the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August 2024. The series ended last year after a 10-year run, getting numerous illustrations and messages for the conclusion.
The anime adaptation first premiered in April 2016 and has since become one of the most popular modern shonen franchises worldwide. It concluded with Episode 170 on December 13, 2025. A special short Eri-focused anime premiered on July 3.
Horikoshi also recently returned to the magazine with a new 61-page horror one-shot titled Quit Laughing, Shijima, marking his first one-shot since the conclusion of My Hero Academia.
