The Tonari no Yokai-san anime revealed a new trailer and visual along with the April 6 premiere date. LIDENFILMS (Call of the Night, Insomniacs After School) is animating it under the direction of Aimi Yamauchi.
Tomoko Konparu is writing the script, with Shigemitsu Abe designing the characters, Avex Music Creative and Blue Bird’s Nest composing the music. The theme songs include “Obake Himawari” by Pii as the opening theme, and “Iro no Naka” by Aoi Kubo as the ending theme. The cast includes:

The Tonari no Yokai-san anime was announced in April 2022 and is based on a manga series by noho. The manga was first published on X (Twitter) in August 2017 before East Press published it under its Mato Grosso magazine. As of this writing, there are four volumes out, as well as one side story.
The series follows the story of the main character Buchio, who suddenly transforms into a nekomata. Confused with this transformation alongside Yuri, a kitsune. Together, they discover the relationship between humans and yokais, as well as the secrets behind why many yokais undergo these rapid transformations.
