Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits is getting Season 2, set for Fall 2025 anime season. The first season of the adaptation aired in the Spring 2018 anime season and was animated by studio GONZO. Details on the studio and staff for the second season haven’t been revealed, but a teaser visual is out:
The Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits anime ran for 26 episodes and was directed by Yoshiko Okuda (who recently also directed Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! anime). The main cast for the anime included:
- Nao Toyama/Emily Neves as Aoi Tsubaki
- Shinichi Toki/Stephen Fu as Ginji
- Katsuyuki Konishi/Christopher Wehkamp as Odanna
The anime adapts the Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits light novel, written by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha. The light novel ran from 2015 to 2019 and was serialized under Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation by Waco Ioka is currently ongoing in B’s-Log Comic magazine (it is licensed by VIZ Media in English). A new manga adaptation illustrated by Tsugaru Toba began serialization in Shonen Sirius magazine in January of 2023. Author Midori Yuma posted a thank you note, with an illustration while apologizing to the fans for the wait.
Crunchyroll is streaming the first season of the anime.
