Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction is coming to Crunchyroll in episodic format starting on May 23, as announced earlier today. The adaptation was initially announced as a two-part movie; the first premiered on March 22 while the second begins screening on May 24. Crunchyroll states that the anime will be available in over 200 countries and territories worldwide and describes the plot as:
As the world is threatened by the sudden appearance of a mysterious alien mothership, best friends Kadode Koyama and Oran “Ontan” Nakagawa carry on about their high school life. But as they grow up, they face existential questions, learning adulthood’s complexities and that the true threat may not be from above.
The Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction anime is adapting Inio Asano’s manga series, originally serialized for 12 volumes in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English. Studio Production +h is in charge of the animation with Tomoyuki Kurokawa as the director. Reiko Yoshida is writing the screenplay, while Nobutake Ito is credited as both the character designer and chief animation director. Taro Umebayashi is composing the music.

Lilas Ikuta and ano are singing Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction‘s theme song “ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki,” which will be featured in the 18-episode version.
