How to Become Ordinary (Shoshimin) anime revealed the opening and ending videos after the premiere, featuring the theme songs by Eve and ammo. Studio Lapin Track (Undead Girl Murder Farce) is animating, with Mamoru Kanbe (The Promised Neverland) as the director. The opening theme song is “Sweet Memory” by Eve.
The ending theme song is “Itokenai” by ammo.
Hina Yomiya (Anna Yamada in The Dangers In My Heart) voices the female lead Yuki Osanai, while Shuichiro Umeda (Akira Tendo in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) voices the male lead Jogoro Kobato. The anime previously revealed a trailer and visual.
Shoshimin Series is a novel series by Honobu Yonezawa (best known for Hyouka). It was initially launched by Tokyo Sogensha in December 2004, with five volumes released as of April 2024. The TV anime will adapt the first two volumes: The Spring Special Strawberry Tart Case and The Summer Special Tropical Parfait Case.
