A teaser visual and 2025 release date have been announced for the Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) (Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can’t!!)) anime. The news are coinciding with the release of the novel’s ninth volume in Japan today. The anime was announced back in August 2022 along with the release of its fifth volume. The teaser visual features the main female character, Himari Inuzuka.
Nana Nanana writes the original Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) light novel with illustrations by Parum. It has been published under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label since 2021, and has a total of 9 published volumes as of August 9. There is also a manga adaptation by Kamelie. The story is described:
Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) is a coming-of-age love comedy about two high school students, the cheerful girl Himari Inuzuka, and the flower-loving boy Yu Natsume, who pledged eternal friendship in junior high school. The two had been best friends since junior high, but their destiny is thrown out of whack when Yu reunites with his first love from the past.
