“Allegro,” the latest track from Midnight Grand Orchestra, released an animated music video by WIT Studio, with Yuki Kamiya directing it. Midnight Grand Orchestra is a music unit composed of Hololive’s Hoshimachi Suisei and Japanese music producer Taku Inoue.
Yuki Kamiya, also known as uki in several projects, is known for his opening credits storyboards in anime titles such as Urusei Yatsura (2024), Oblivion Battery, as well as for the second seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
He also had several roles on Chainsaw Man, including doing the storyboard for the third and eighth endings. Under his “uki” alias, he is credited for the storyboarding process for Assassins Pride and Fate/Grand Order -Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia-. He also worked on the “COLORs” music video, performed by Hiroyuki Sawano and Motohiro Hata.
Following the release of the “Allegro” music video, Yuki posted two raw sketches on X (Twitter) featuring Suisei and Inoue.
The music video follows yet another recently-revealed video by WIT Studio, namely the one for Mori Calliope’s “Go-Getters”, which was used as the ending theme for the Suicide Squad Isekai anime series.
Midnight Grand Orchestra was founded by Suisei and Inoue in 2022, and they two EPs currently out: “Overture” (2022) and “Starpeggio” (2023). It is worth noting that Inoue was the producer of Suisei’s 2021 single “Stellar Stellar,” which the VTuber performed for her “The First Take” performance.
