Netflix revealed the first trailer for the Wolf King animated series, along with a 2025 release date. Jellyfish Pictures is animating, with Tom Brass as the director. Credited as producers are Angelo Abela, Tim Compton, Kate Little, Claire Poyser and Curtis Jobling. The announcement was made at the Netflix Geeked Week 2024 event, and you can watch the teaser trailer below.
The animated series is based on the Wereworld books by Curtis Jobling. The series has 6 entries, and they are:
- Rise of the Wolf (2011)
- Rage of Lions (2011)
- Shadow of the Hawk (2012)
- Nest of Serpents (2012)
- Storm of Sharks (2013)
- War of the Werelords (2013)
Netflix describes the series:
Set in a world where mortal man is ruled over by the Werelords, we will meet a 16-year-old shepherd boy Drew Ferran, a teen whose life is changed forever when he discovers he’s the last surviving Wolf King.
Aside from Wolf King, Netflix also shared new looks at multiple other of their upcoming works, some of which are Devil May Cry, Twilight of the Gods, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, among others.
