A visual and trailer have been released for the 44th Doraemon movie, titled Doraemon: Nobita’s Art World Tales, which will premiere in Japan on March 7, 2025. The movie will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Doraemon movie series next year as the first one premiered in 1980.
The theme song for the new movie is “Sketch” performed by Aimyon (unBORDE / WARNER MUSIC JAPAN). You can check it out below.
The Doraemon: Nobita’s Art World Tales movie is directed by Yukiyo Teramoto, who previously directed Doraemon: Nobita’s New Great Adventure into the Underworld (2007), Doraemon: Nobita and the New Steel Troops—Winged Angels (2011) and Doraemon: Nobita’s Secret Gadget Museum (2013). The voice cast for the anime includes:
- Wasabi Mizuta as Doraemon
- Megumi Ohara as Nobita
- Yumi Kakazu as Shizuka
- Subaru Kimura as Gian
- Tomokazu Seki as Suneo
- Misaki Watada as Claire
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Milo

Doraemon is an iconic Japanese manga and anime series created by Fujiko F. Fujio. Since its debut in 1969, the series has become a cultural icon in Japan, gettting multiple anime adaptations, movies, and merchandise.
The first Doraemon TV anime was produced in 1973 by Nippon TV. However, that was short-lived, running for only 26 episodes before getting cancelled due to poor ratings.
The 1979 anime (known as the ‘second version’) was produced by Shin-Ei Animation and became the beloved version that popularized the series. It ran until 2005, with a total of over 1,700 episodes. This version featured classic character designs and voice actors like the late Nobuyo Oyama as Doraemon. It also established the format of short episodes and gadget-of-the-day concept, which became a hallmark of the franchise. The first 25 movies were based on this version of the anime.
The 2005 anime (known as the ‘third version’) started the reboot of the series, with Shin-Ei Animation again animating. This version introduced a major rehaul, with updated animation and a new voice cast. Movies starting with the 26th one, Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur 2006 (which was remake of the first movie), have been based on the new anime.
