Champignon Witch has announced a TV anime adaptation with a teaser illustration drawn by the manga’s author. The manga is written and illustrated by Tachibana Higuchi, who also commented on the announcement:
“The Champignon Witch is getting an anime adaptation 🍄. I’m so happy to be able to share this news today, along with my gratitude to everyone who has supported and encouraged this work. In keeping with the season, here’s a Christmas mushroom hat 🎅🍄.”
The illustration was posted with: “Please enjoy the story of Luna, a kind-hearted black witch with a poisonous solitude, now in the anime form as well 🍄.”
Champignon Witch (Champignon no Majo) has been serialized on Hakusensha’s Manga Park manga website since October 2019, with Volume 6 set to release on December 20, 2024. Prior to this manga, Tachibana Hinata wrote and illustrated numerous other series. Her most notable one is Gakuen no Alice, which ran for 10 years from 2003 to 2013 and was completed with a total of 31 compiled volumes. It also got a 26-episode TV anime and multiple video game adaptations.
