The IDOLiSH7 franchise announced a Season 4 TV anime, a compilation movie for the first season, and an adaptation of the ZOOL-focused storyline “Kikko no Quarter.” These announcements were made during a special livestream celebrating the franchise’s 10th anniversary on January 25, 2025.
The fourth season will continue the story from IDOLiSH7 Third BEAT!, the third TV anime season that aired in two parts: the first half in 2021 and the second half in 2022. The format of the ZOOL-focused adaptation was not confirmed.
IDOLiSH7 began as a smartphone rhythm game developed by Bandai Namco Online and released in 2015. The franchise has since expanded into numeruos novels, live concerts, and the popular anime series.
The TV anime adaptation debuted in 2018, followed by IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT! in 2020 and IDOLiSH7 Third BEAT! in 2021 and 2022. Studio TROYCA animated every season of the anime so far, with the main staff consisting of Makoto Bessho as the director, Ayumi Sekine handling the series composition, Kazumi Fukagawa as the character designer, and Tatsuya Kato as the music composer. The main voice cast includes:
