Another Love Live! project is heading our way. The upcoming Ikizu Live! Love Live! Bluebird was announced following the conclusion of the “Love Live! Series Asia Tour 2024 ~Minna de Kanaeru Monogatari~” at the K-Arena Yokohama on February 2. At the moment, little is known about the project as only a spartan trailer and visual have been released.
The concluded “Love Live! Series Asia Tour 2024 ~Minna de Kanaeru Monogatari” featured idols from µ’s, Aqours, Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Liella!, and Hasunosora Girls’ High School Idol Club. Spanning from October 2024 to February 2025, the tour spanned the following 4 countries:
- Guangzhou (China) – October 4 @ The Guangzhou Asian Games Town Gymnasium
- Shanghai (China) – October 6 @ The National Exhibition and Convention Center’s Hong Arena
- Taipei (Taiwan) – November 9 & 10 @ The Zepp New Taipei
- Seoul (South Korea) – December 14 & 15 @ Korea University’s Tiger Dome
- Yokohama (Japan) – February 1 & 2 @ The Yokohama K-Arena
A Blu-ray of the tour is slated for an October 1, 2025 release.
The Hajime Yatate and Sakurako Kimino created Love Live! franchise launched in August 2010 with the release of the Love Live! School Idol Project series via Dengeki G’s Magazine. The success of the 13-episode Sunrise anime adaptation led to the green-lighting of a second season and a movie. The franchise expanded from there with several other idol units, TV and theatrical animes, live performances, and various rhythm games.
Love Live! focuses on different groups of JKs who perform as idols as part of their school’s clubs. Several of the shows include the title’s respective idols working towards competing in the “Love Live,” a national competition that pits different units against each other to crown the most popular of the batch. Crunchyroll streams the TV anime Love Live! School Idol Project, Love Live! Sunshine!! Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and Love Live! Superstar!!. Ikizuraibu! Love Live! Bluebird will serve as the franchise’s sixth project.
