Ichibankuji announced a new lottery campaign featuring the anime Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, or Roshidere, revealing a new figure of the main character, Alya Mikhailovna Kujou. The lottery will feature other Roshidere goods and is set to release in Japan on June 28th, 2025. Ichibankuji took to X to announce the new collaboration.
The figure retells the famous scene from Roshidere Season 1, Episode 1 where Alya teases Masachika to help her put on a spare pair of socks. The iconic scene is now memorialized in this newest Ichibankuji figure, which is the top prize for the lottery. Other prizes include small chibi figures, mini plates, and clear file folders. Ichibankuji says to wait for more information about these prizes. Each ticket for a draw will cost 850 yen (~$6 USD).
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian is written by Sunsunsun and illustrated by Momoco. The novel was first released in 2020 on the Japanese publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro, and the series was acquired by Kadokawa the following year. Yen Press publishes the novel in English. An anime adaptation premiered in early 2024, animated by Doga Kobo. Season 2 is already in the works.
The series follows Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, or simply Alya, a half-Russian and half-Japanese beauty who attends high school in Japan. While she turns heads at every corner of the school, she seems to only give Masachika Kuze attention, as she’s secretly in love with him. Alya hides her feelings by uttering flirty words to him in Russian, thinking he won’t understand. But Masachika has a secret of his own – he actually knows Russian and understands everything she is saying! This makes for a hilarious yet heartfelt romantic comedy anime.
