The spy-action comedy manga Mission: Yozakura Family officially reached its conclusion with the release of its final 29th volume, which included a 15-page exclusive epilogue. Alongside the conclusion of the manga, the third novel, Hifumi and Alpha’s Growth Record Arc, was also released.
Final Volume Details
Created by Hitsuji Gondaira, Mission: Yozakura Family follows Taiyo Asano, a seemingly ordinary boy who ends up living with the legendary Yozakura spy family. The manga debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2019 and continued until January this year. The series officially ended with Chapter 258 on January 20, 2025, making for over five years of serialization.
A special trailer was released to commemorate the completion.

Third Novel: Hifumi and Alpha’s Growth Record Arc
In addition to the final manga volume, Mission: Yozakura Family expanded its story further with the third official novel, Hifumi and Alpha’s Growth Record Arc. This novel features a series of episodes that explore new adventures and character developments, including:
- Hifumi and Alpha, the children of Taiyo and Mutsumi, making a big impression at Teio Academy’s play festival.
- Taiyo and Kyoichiro embarking on a journey across Japan, taking on a new mission filled with challenges and excitement.
- A total of five unique stories, offering additional depth and stories beyond the manga’s conclusion.
The novel is written by Eido Denki, who previously worked on other novelizations of the series. It also includes an exclusive double-sided pin-up illustration drawn by Hitsuji Gondaira.

Anime Adaptation
The first season of the anime by SILVER LINK was directed by Mirai Minato, who also handled the series composition. The character designer was Mizuki Takahashi, while Osamu Sasaki and Koji Fujimoto were in charge of the music. The second season was announced in August 2024 when the first season ended and is set to air in 2026.
The anime is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
