Often, an anime introduces a niche pastime to its viewers. Shows like Laid Back Camp and Slow Loop welcomed many fans into their depicted hobbies. Now, Sorairo Utility x Yamaha Golf are hoping to do the same. Through various collab campaigns featuring store bonuses to gear giveaways, they’re out to make golf great again.
Sorairo Utility x Yamaha Golf Collab Details
Usually, when a show launches a collaboration campaign, it’s site-specific. Not here. Several stores and golf ranges across Japan are rallying behind the Sorairo Utility girls hoping to get anime fans on the green.
As part of the collaboration, the Yamaha Golf website uses Minami and Ayaka as the poster girls for their Inpress Drivestar drivers and SENSUS putters. Collaboration golf balls and acrylic stands are also available on their website. And if you purchase eligible products, you’ll receive a Sorairo Utility clear file or promo sticker.

In stores like Victoria Golf, patrons who spend more than ¥3500 (~$23.70) recieve an anime-themed clear file. Even Golf Plaza Active AKIBA recently gifted Sorairo Utility logo stickers to their patrons.
The Sorairo Utility x Yamaha campain also includes an upcoming festival. The Yamaha Presents Sorairo Festa is scheduled for March 15 and 16. It will take place at the Yokohama Sympho Stage and includes presentations by the anime’s voice cast and production team.
Sorairo Utility Synopsis
Originally a 2021 TV special, Sorairo Utility tells the story of Minami Aoba, a self-described “background character”. After her favorite gacha reveals its EOS, Minami realizes her life seriously lacks meaningful excitement. So Minami launches into a frenzied search for something she can obsess over and promptly fails at all her attempts. But when she ends up at a golf driving range, the special something that Minami is chasing after finds its way to her. And with that, a completely unknown reveals itself to the kawaii heroine.
