The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest revealed a new Yorha teaser visual and cast member ahead of its October 2025 release date. The project was announced in March this year as a collaboration between CyberAgent and Kodansha, with studio GEKKOU handling the animation.
Yurika Kubo has joined the voice cast as Yorha Eisenz, who is featured on the new visual.
Shuichiro Umeda will voice the protagonist Alen, whose visual you can also see below

The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest (Mikata ga Yowa Sugite Hojo Maho ni Tettei Shite Ita Kyutei Mahoshi, Tsuiho Sarete Saikyo o Mezasu) is a fantasy light novel series written by Alto, with illustrations by Yuunagi. The story first appeared on the user-generated fiction platform Shosetsuka ni Naro in October 2020. Kodansha later acquired the rights and began publishing it under their K Ranobe Books imprint in August 2021.
The series was also adapted into a manga, illustrated by Yuki Monji. The manga debuted in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app and website in July 2021. K MANGA is publishing the manga in English, describing the story:
“I don’t need a worthless mage who can only use support magic. You’re fired.” Alec, a court magician who supported the crown prince from behind the scenes, suddenly finds himself exiled from the royal court. Now jobless, he pays the magic academy a visit and runs into Yorha, one of his party members from his school days. Their renowned party once set a record in the royal dungeon—and now it’s time to reunite and start a whole new legend!
