Today, during a YouTube broadcast, Gachiakuta revealed that the opening theme of cour two of the anime’s first season is “LET’S JUST CRASH” sung by hololive VTuber Mori Calliope. The announcement came alongside a PV for the second cour, teasing an encounter with powerful enemies after the Cleaners return from their visit to Amo. The artist joined the livestream, expressing a longtime appreciation for the Gachiakuta and a desire to create a song worthy of the incredible anime.

Mori Calliope and Kei Urana have had interactions in the past; the mangaka was responsible for the cover art of Calliope’s EP JIGOKU 6 and has tweeted multiple drawings of costumes and outfits for the VTuber. Calliope gave special attention to Gachiakuta during a Next Manga Award livestream alongside Gigguk, after which Urana thanked her for the support. There’s clearly a mutual appreciation between the two.

Mori Calliope also gave comments on the opening song for the second cour:

Are you guys ready for the next arc?! It’s finally time for Rudo and the cleaners to take on their first huge challenge!! As a longtime fan of the manga I can’t wait to see one of my favorite arcs animated this season…what kind of OST can we expect from some of the hottest battles in the series thus far?! And in BONES FILM’s glorious animation style, we’re gonna be on the edge of our seats. Some of my favorite villains are getting ready to show what they’re made of so I hope you guys are as hyped as I am. Let’s riot!! Please listen to LET’S JUST CRASH a lot, okay?!

Additionally, on X (formerly Twitter), the second cour’s ED theme song was revealed as “Ban” by Karanoah. The members of the band also offered comments on the series and creating the song.

Yudai (guitar, vocals):

When creating this song, the world of Gachiakuta was my top priority. I kept thinking things like “If this element was added into the music, would it get people more into the story?” or “What could this character be feeling in this moment?” — to the point where it felt less like imagination and more like wild fantasizing, which for an anime fan like me made it an unbelievably happy and enjoyable process. There’s so much I could say that even 10,000 words wouldn’t be enough, but more than anything, I feel truly honored to contribute to this series I love through music. Thank you so much.

This song is 100% my own interpretation of the series explored from different perspectives, and I hope you all enjoy it. The more you listen to it, the more you might discover…

Tatsuki (bass):

I actually read through the manga to work on this song, and I think we succeeded in creating what oculd be called our masterpiece: the sound of Karanoah matched perfectly with the world of Gachiakuta. I hope this song reaches loads of people alongside Gachiakuta.

Kazuki (drums):

This was Karanoah’s first anime tie-up, and just like Rudo, we gave it our all to create it. I think it’s a track that both channels the world of Gachiakuta and packs the unique sound of Karanoah, including Yudai’s distinctive lyrics and rapid-fire delivery. There’s also all kinds of sounds blended in the drums and other percussion. Be sure to check it out together with the anime!

As if the information on the anime’s music wasn’t enough, additional character visuals were also shared alongside voice actor information, featuring Givers Guita, voiced by Maria Naganawa, Noerde, voiced by Mutsumi Tamura, Fu, voiced by Hiro Shimono, and Bundus, voiced by Akio Otsuka.

Cour 2 of Gachiakuta begins broadcasting and streaming on Sunday, October 12th.
