SHY Synopsis
With prolonged conflicts flaring across the globe, humanity inched close to a Third World War. But right before the nukes started flying and society crossed the point of no return, heroes appeared across the world and diverted the impending disaster. With a new era of peace reigning over the globe, the heroes that once saved humanity returned to their respective lands and focused on domestic and personal matters.
While for most the life of a hero seems like something that would only happen in a distant dream, for Teru Momijiyama, a hero’s life is a daily task. The extremely introverted and shy 14-year-old is Japan’s hero! But Teru’s time as a hero has been less than stellar due to her Bocchi-like personality. Yet, despite her character flaws, when an existential crisis threatens humanity, Teru’s hero persona, Shy, proves that her heart and guts are second to none.
Studio Eight Bit animated both seasons of the SHY TV anime adaptation, which you can stream on Crunchyroll.
