The Umamusume franchise capitalized on the excitement after the latest episode of Cinderella Gray by releasing a creditless version of “Next Frontier.” The song served as Oguri Cap’s triumphant winning live performance at the Arima Kinen. Oguri Cap (Tomoyo Takayanagi), Tamamo Cross (Naomi Oozara), and Dicta Striker (Soccer Boy) (Yumiri Hanamori) performed the song. Umamusume: Cinderella Gray’s soundtrack will include the anime version of the song. BANDAI NAMCO Music Live Co., Ltd. will release the soundtrack on two discs on December 24.
The Umamusume: Cinderella Gray soundtrack will retail for ¥ 4,400 (approximately $30). Preorders through stores like Seven Net Shopping, Animate, and Gamers will include limited edition merchandise.
“Next Frontier” debuted in the Umamusume: Pretty Derby game. Its full version was released on March 17, 2021, as a single in the UMAMUSUME PRETTY DERBY WINNING LIVE 01.Akihiko Yamaguchi composed and arranged the song. Uran wrote the lyrics.
Umamusume: Cinderella Gray Details
A Cygames, Inc. IP, Umamusume: Cinderella Gray is based on the Weekly Young Jump manga of the same name by Masafumi Sugiura (author) and Taiyo Kuzumi (illustrator). Cinderella Gray focuses on the racing exploits of Oguri Cap, a Japanese Hall of Fame racehorse from Kasamatsu. Weekly Young Jump has serialized the manga since its June 2020 debut. CygamesPictures, known for Princess Connect! Re:Dive and The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls animate the ongoing Cinderella Gray TV adaptation.
