Amazing Seasun Games will launch Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s 2.5-year anniversary update, titled “Back From Bygone,” on January 29, 2026. The free-to-play shooter RPG is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), iOS, and Android with full cross-platform support. The update will reintroduce the Covenant system and add new operatives, a main story chapter, a new boss, and a social hub.
Central to the update is the return of Covenant, an anniversary-exclusive feature that functions as a permanent, in-world bond between the player (Adjutant) and select operatives. Rather than a side system, Covenant is integrated directly into the game’s narrative, becoming part of character arcs and impacting future developments.
Players who form a Covenant gain access to dedicated story quests, exclusive character outfits, and fully interactive 3D sequences, including ceremonial scenes that mark the commitment.
Two new operatives will join the roster as part of the anniversary update. Acacia – Chrono Echo introduces a form-shifting battle style that alters her visuals and movement during combat. Marian – Aquila is described as a versatile support unit being offered for free to all players who log in during the campaign. Both characters are featured in the anniversary storyline.
The new chapter, also titled Back From Bygone, will continue the main plot by revisiting unresolved threads and introducing a new boss, Apate. Outside of combat, players will be able to explore Arcaverse, a new base area that expands non-combat interactivity through additional social features.
As part of the anniversary campaign, players can receive:
- Up to 130 free gacha pulls
- 4 free orange-tier operatives
- 3 free outfits
- A wide range of upgrade materials
Additional in-game events will run throughout the update period.
