A new trailer has been released for PUNK’N HEADS, an upcoming graphic novel from writer Dave Baker and artist Nicole Goux.
Published by Top Shelf Productions, the book releases on April 7, 2026 and will follow a horror-punk band navigating messy relationships, creative ambition, and the uncertainty of early adulthood.
The story centers on Hannah Lipsky, an aspiring painter whose life takes an unexpected turn after a breakup. After dropping out of art school and moving into a rundown house, she ends up fronting a campy horror-punk band with friends. Complicating matters, she begins reconnecting with her former crush Jerry, who also happens to be her bandmate and housemate.
Writer Dave Baker described the book as a reflection of youthful chaos.
“PUNK’N HEADS is a book for all the broken hearted losers out there,” Baker said. “The kids who wanted to accomplish great things and then ended up playing shitty back-room punk shows. If you’ve ever broken up with someone in the back of a van, right before six idiots in Doc Martens are about to pile in, this is the book for you.”
Artist Nicole Goux added that the story focuses on imperfect paths and creative searching.
“For anyone whose journey hasn’t been a straight path, PUNK’N HEADS might just bring you a little solace. Join Hannah, Jerry, Morgan, and Birdie in their quest to make something cool, make it big, or maybe just be a little less sad.”
The book continues Baker and Goux’s long-running creative partnership, which previously included titles such as Fuck Off Squad, Forest Hills Bootleg Society, Everyone Is Tulip, and Mary Tyler MooreHawk.
According to Baker, the project draws heavily on the energy and awkwardness of underground music scenes.
“PUNK’N HEADS is a coming of age graphic novel about playing in bands, living in a flop house, and kissing the wrong people,” he said. “It’s also about how everyone should be wearing pumpkin masks in 2026.”
PUNK’N HEADS will be released in comic shops on April 7, 2026.
