Takopi’s Original Sin has announced a movie titled, Takopi’s Original Sin -Thank You, See You Tomorrow-. The movie will compile all six episodes of the anime series and feature a re-edited version created specifically for theaters, including newly added scenes. A trailer was also released.
Studio ENISHIYA animated the series and it premiered from June 28 to August 2, 2025 with six episodes in total. Shinya Iino directed and was in charge of the series composition with Keita Nagahara on character designs and chief animation direction. Yoshiaki Fujisawa composed the music. The anime won the Anime of the Year 2025 award and made a “sweep” in Summer 2025 by winning every week during its run. It also bagged the Best Anime of Summer 2025.

The anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Taizan 5. It was published on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform from December 2021 to March 2022, getting a total of 2 compiled volumes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English.
