The production committee for The Irregular at Magic High School‘s anime announced on June 5 that development had begun on the anime’s second part. You can check out the announcement visual below.
The announcement of The Irregular at Magic High School Part 2’s development start follows the release of The Irregular at Magic High School Yotsuba Succession Arc in May 2026. Animec (a joint venture between KADOKAWA and Aniplex) distributed the film in Japan.
Crunchyroll streams the second and third seasons of The Irregular at Magic High School, describing the anime:
Based on the light novel by Tsutomu Sato, The Irregular at Magic High School is set in a world where magic exists but instead of using chants and spells, magic users cast spells with their Casting Assistant Device (CAD). The CAD is infused with the user’s Psions (a substance-less thought particle) that activates the device and constructs the magic ritual.
The Irregular at Magic High School anime Part 2 will continue the adaptation of Sato’s novels, published by KADOKAWA, and with over 22 million copies in circulation. Madhouse adapted the first TV anime season in 2014, followed by Eight Bit for the following seasons and movies.
