The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System has revealed a new U.S.-exclusive key visual and its second main PV trailer ahead of the anime’s July 2 premiere. The series will stream on Crunchyroll and run for two consecutive cours.
Studio GoHands is in charge of the animation, with the anime’s ending theme revealed as “Lv.1 Class: Human” by ReoNa, known for her work on series such as Sword Art Online, Shadows House, and Arknights. ReoNa commented on the song:
Hello, this is ReoNa. I am honored to be performing the ending theme for the TV anime “The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System.” Even when it looks to everyone else like he has lost everything, even when he is mocked, he himself holds unshakable knowledge.
There is something almost exhilarating about the path Elymas walks, and it fills me with excitement. Ending Theme “Lv.1 Class: Human” Just like Elymas, the song is brimming with playfulness, too.
Ah, I hope that someday I, too, can become somebody. I hope you enjoy the song along with the anime!
The opening theme, “Awake,” will be performed by SPYAIR. The band commented:
“Awake” doesn’t just mean “to wake up,” but it’s a song that embodies the feeling of wanting to move forward even while carrying doubts and pain. We tried to capture the moment when stagnant emotions start moving, and set it to a fast-paced sound.We hope this song can help encourage people to take a new step forward.

The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System (Tsuiho Sareta Tensei Ju Kishi wa Gemu Chishiki de Muso Suru) is originally a Japanese light novel series by Nekoko, featuring illustrations by Jyaian. It first began on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2021, while Kodansha acquired it and began publishing it in June 2022.
The manga adaptation by Lee Brocco began on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web website and app in February 2022, while it was transferred to Weekly Young Magazine in September 2024.
The story follows Elma, an MC who knows that the world he lives in is the same as the one of a game he used to play. While others underestimate it, he knows that the Heavy Knight class is the most powerful one, and he uses the memories from his past life to ‘game the system’ and effectively conquer the entire world.
