Remake Our Life! Haruhi Suzumiya collaboration led “God knows” to trend on Twitter

Remake Our Life!’s 5th episode has something in store for Haruhi fans. The latest episode released today July 31 features a collaboration with the popular series The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Likewise, the official “Remake Our Life!” anime Twitter account posted a visual of character Aki Shino (voiced by Aoi Koga) cosplaying Haruhi Suzumiya. The commemorative visual mirrors the cover of the 6th volume of the Haruhi Suzumiya light novel.

In episode 5, Nanako (voiced by Aimi) sang Haruhi Suzumiya’s popular song “God knows…” This song was first heard in the 12th episode of the first season of “Haruhi Suzumiya”, performed by Haruhi herself. This song, aside from “Hare Hare Yukai,” contributed to the success of voice actor Aya Hirano’s career during these times.

Just before 11 pm JST, “God knows” is already on Twitter Japan’s trending topics, accumulating 14,000 tweets. Aimi shared her thoughts on Twitter as well, saying that she sang the song to reflect the character’s growth. “I imagined in my way the voice of Nanako singing this song based on Kyouya’s comment, and expressed it.”

Furthermore, she concludes the tweet by asking fans to keep supporting Nanako.
