Anime Based on HoneyWorks' Heroine Taru Mono Announced

An anime based on HoneyWorks’ Heroine Taru Mono song has been announced, along with a teaser trailer. The anime is set to air in April 2022.

HoneyWorks’ Heroine Taru Mono is one of the character songs for Hiyori Suzumi, who is also the main character in the upcoming anime. A key visual featuring the main characters is also available:

To Become Real Heroine: The Unpopular Girl and Secret Task follows Hiyori Suzumi, who leaves her hometown to enroll in a high school in Tokyo. While looking for part-time work she stumbles upon the position of a part-time manager for an idol band. The band in question is the highly popular idol unit LIP x LIP. However, one of the members is Hiyori’s classmate. She’ll have to learn how to juggle school life, clubs, and her job while making friends.

Voice cast for the upcoming anime was also revealed. Inori Minase is voicing the main character, Hiyori Suzumi. Kouki Uchiyama and Nobunaga Shimazaki are starring as LIP x LIP members, Yujiro Someya and Aizo Shibasaki. In addition, Ayane Sakura and Saori Hayami are also starring in the anime, as Juri Hattori and Chizuru Nakamura.

Noriko Hashimoto is directing To Become Real Heroine, while Kaori Ishii is doing character designs. Yoshimi Narita is in charge of series composition and script, with Ryosuke Obokata as the art director. HoneyWorks and Moe Hyuga are composing the music.

HoneyWorks is a Japanese vocaloid unit, best known for its collabs with CHiCO. They did multiple anime OP and ED songs, including O Maidens in Your Savage Season and the 9th opening for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
