Chainsaw Man manga

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. Part 1 (the ‘Public Safety’ arc) of the manga concluded on December 14, 2020, with its 97th chapter. The manga will continue with part 2, through Shonen Jump. As of now, we don’t know the release schedule for the continuation.

The manga has received a lot of buzz, with over 9.3 million copies in circulation as of March 2021. In addition to this, it recently topped retail giant Barnes and Noble’s list of best-selling books. The anime adaptation for the series was also confirmed to be in the works by MAPPA, in December of 2020. The anime received a trailer at this year’s MAPPA Stage 2021, which you can view below.

In case you’re not familiar with the manga, VIZ Media describes the manga as follows:

Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
