Araki Hirohiko's First Serialized Manga to Receive a Sequel

Araki Hirohiko, known for his long running manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, brought an end to its 8th part, Jojolion, in Monthly Ultra Jump, last month. And today, it was revealed that the author’s first serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump would receive a one-shot sequel. The manga will have 51 pages and will be available in the October issue of Monthly Ultra Jump that comes out on October 19, 2021.

In 1982, Araki Hirohiko’s Mashounen B.T. (lit. Magical B.T.) was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. Now, in a different magazine, the sequel depicts a story where sixty years have passed since the ending. As the time flew, the boy grew old and the title turned into “Marou Shinshi B.T.” (lit. Magical Old Gentleman B.T.).

Interestingly, the author himself doesn’t work on it. Nisioisin, the author of Monogatari novel series, takes care of the story, and Demizu Posuka, the artist of The Promised Neverland, draws the work.
