LiSA Returns to Sing For Demon Slayer For the 3rd Time

With the latest Demon Slayer Season 2 news, LiSA was confirmed to return to sing for the anime for 3rd time. Her theme songs will be used for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train arc TV anime. It’s a 7-episode version of the arc, with the first episode being an original that covers the day before the events we already watched and the rest covering the movie. The opening theme’s title is “Akeboshi”, while the ending theme’s title is “Shirogane”.

The first song we heard LiSA sing for Demon Slayer was the iconic “Gurenge”, which was used as the opening theme song for the show’s 1st season. In May 2019, the song was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for 100,000 full-track digital downloads. Then in July 2020, it was certified Million by RIAJ for 1,000,000 downloads. t was the the first single by a female artist to surpass 1 million downloads in the history of Oricon’s digital single ranking chart. She also sang in the recognizable ending theme for the 1st season by FictionJunction “from the edge”. It’s available on Spotify:

Then, her single “Homura” was the theme song for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train arc movie. It quickly blew up and received numerous awards and recognitions. LiSA returning to Demon Slayer for the 3rd time is bound to be epic, and we’ll probably hear Homura at some point during the Mugen Train TV anime arc!
