The anime adaptation was first announced on the official Twitter account for Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket. On the same day, there was also a video that was used as promotion for the original manga series. Hayami Saori voiced Shikimori in the video, and you can watch it below:
The synopsis for the rom-com goes:
Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be… but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! A fun and funny high school romance with a sassy twist perfect for fans of Nagatoro-san and Komi Can’t Communicate!
Although Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie TV Anime has some time before the release date, there’s a lot of stuff to watch in Fall 2021!
