Reign of the Seven Spellblades Gets TV Anime Adaptation

Reign of the Seven Spellblades is getting an anime adaptation, Dengeki Bunko Winter Festival confirmed today. More information about the adaptation is expected at a later date.

Reign of the Seven Spellblades is a fantasy light novel series by Bokuto Uno, with Ruria Miyuki’s illustrations. The light novel started serialization in Dengeki Bunko in 2018 and currently has 7 volumes. Yen Press is licensing it in English (Alex Keller-Nelson’s translations) and describes the plot as:

Springtime at Kimberly Magic Academy, when new students begin their first year. One boy, clad in black robes with a white cane and sword strapped to his hip, approaches the prestigious school. This young man—Oliver—must form a bond with a katana wielding girl named Nanao if he’s to survive the dangers he’s to face at this school that is anything but what it seems!

A manga adaptation is currently ongoing (since 2019), with Yen Press also licensing it.
