The upcoming Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime has received its first trailer, featuring the main cast. The anime will premiere on April 9, 2022. Studio Doga Kobo (Plastic Memories) is animating the series, while Ryota Itoh (My Senpai is Annoying) is directing.

Shuichiro Umeda (Makoto Miki) will be the one voicing the male lead Yuu Izumi, while Saori Onishi (Hisako Arato) will be the voice of Micchon Shikimori.
The rest of the staff includes Yoshimi Narita (DAKAICHI), who is working on the series composition, and Ai Kikuchi (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle), who is taking care of the character designs.
Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime was originally set to premiere on April 2, but was delayed by 1 week due to “organizational reasons”.

Kodansha started publishing Keigo Maki’s Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie in February 2019 on Magazine Pocket. The manga is still ongoing and it currently has 11 volumes available. Kodansha USA is also serializing the manga series in English:
