Episode 2 of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie will air as scheduled, on Saturday, April 16, the official website confirmed today while also revealing a preview of the adventures that await Shikimori and Izumi in the new episode. On April 8, the production committee for the anime issued a statement in which they explained that the future broadcast schedule might be pushed around, due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the studio.
The preview for episode 2 of the Shikimori-san anime includes an image published on the official Twitter (above), as well as a synopsis. It seems like we will get to see Shikimori and Izumi participate in a sports tournament. Izumi tries to do his best, but Shikimori is quite worried about him because of his unfortunate constitution. Izumi ends up being hit by a ball and sent to the infirmary. The two have some alone time, and then Shikimori declares that she will stay with him instead of returning to the game…
