Highly anticipated WIT Studio’s Vampire in the Garden anime is now streaming on Netflix worldwide. The anime consists of five 25-30-minute episodes and is available in multiple dubbed and subbed options.
Ryotaro Makihara (The Empire of Corpses, Hal) directed the anime, with Hiroyuki Tanaka (Attack on Titan) as the assistant director. Tetsuya Nishio (Naruto) was in charge of character designs and is also credited as the chief animation director. Yoshihiro Ike composed the music. The story is an original work.
Netflix describes the plot as:
Though mortal enemies, a human girl, and a vampire queen set out in search of the paradise where humans and vampires once coexisted in peace.
The main cast includes:
- Yu Kobayashi as Fine
- Megumi Han as Momo
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Allegro
- Ai Kakuma as Mirena
- Rika Fukami as Nobara
- Hiroki Tochi as Kubo
The anime is also available in the English dubbed version with Xanthe Huynh as Momo, Larissa Gallagher as Fine, Paul Castro Jr. as Allegro, Lipica Shah as Nobara, and Megan Harvey as Mirena. Kirk Thornton and Stephanie Sheh are also voicing characters.
The Vampire in the Garden anime was announced in November 2021, during the Netflix Japan Festival. The anime is the latest in line of WIT Studio titles that are Netflix exclusives, following the release of the original anime movie Bubble that premiered on the streaming platform last month.
