Summer Time Rendering anime revealed a preview for episode 6, which will air on May 18. The lucky fans in Japan who are able to watch it weekly already know that Misaki Kuno has joined the cast as the mysterious Heine. The anime is streaming exclusively on Disney+ and is currently airing in Japan. Outside of Japan, it’s available on Disney+ in the SEA region, but the release is not a simulcast.
The official website describes the plot of the sixth episode as:
Fourth July 22nd.
Hizuru Minakata, the woman who met Shinpei on the ferry and introduced herself as “Ryunosuke Nagumo”.
She, too, had called Hitogashima her hometown and had returned home for the first time in 14 years in order to unravel a mysterious message left on her cell phone.
Hizuru learns of the existence of Shadows and Heine and joins up with Nezu, who is a hunter. She soon that many of the islanders have been replaced by Shadows.

Summer Time Rendering is based on sci-fi, suspense-mystery manga by Yasuki Tanaka. Shounen Jump+ online magazine serialized it from 2017 to 2021. The anime will have 25 episodes, split into two cours. Studio OLM is animating the adaptation, under Ayumu Watanabe’s direction.
