The previously announced Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 2 OVA has received a key visual. The episode will be released on Blu-ray, in Japan on September 25, 2022, along with a special edition of the light novel’s volume 13. You can check out the key visual below:
The OVA was announced right after the broadcast of season 2 in a teaser video. The episode will be 40 minutes long, and it will have an advanced screening in Japan on September 10, 2022. A new commercial for the OVA has also been released:
Arifureta season 2 aired from January 13 to March 31, 2022, and it had a total of 12 episodes. Akira Iwanaga (Isuca directed the show at studios Mother and Asread (Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory). The first season was animated by studios White Fox (Akame Ga Kill!) and Asread, with Kinji Yoshimoto (Queen’s Blade) as the director in 2019, and it had a total of 13 episodes. The anime is based on Ryo Shirakomee’s Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest light novel series. Overlap started publishing it in 2015, and it currently has 12 volumes in circulation. The same publisher is also serializing a manga adaptation by RoGa on Comic Gardo since December 2016, and as of now, it has 10 volumes available. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the Arifureta light novel series and describes the plot as:
Seventeen-year-old Hajime Nagumo is your average, everyday otaku. However, his simple life of pulling all-nighters and sleeping in school is suddenly turned upside down when he, along with the rest of his class, is summoned to a fantasy world!
