The upcoming Ayakashi Triangle anime adaptation is set for the 2023 release date, as announced earlier today. The project was announced at Jump Festa 2022 on December 18, 2021.
The tweet introduces the work as Kentaro Yabuki’s Ayakashi romantic fantasy. On the same day, the artist revealed he welcomed a new family member, a baby boy.
Kentaro Yabuki, who is known for his shonen manga To Love Ru series, began Ayakashi Triangle in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on June 15, 2020. The serialization moved into the company’s online magazine Shonen Jump+ with Chapter 89 on April 25, 2022. The latest, the 9th volume was released on June 3, 2022.
The manga was licensed by Viz Media in English. It came under the spotlight after chapter 74 was skipped and never officially released by the company. Viz Media did not give out a reason, but fans hypothesized that it was due to explicit content in the chapter. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website, where the series is available to read, introduces the series as:
