Ruka Sarashina from Rent-a-Girfriend (Kanokari) is getting a new figure from the Japanese company Broccoli. Pre-orders for the figure began on June 27, and it will be released in February 2023.
The company is selling the 233mm tall figure for ¥23,100 (around US$170). The 1/7 figure depicts Ruka showing off her heartbeat rate on her smartphone. Fans can also buy a limited edition of the figure with a different smile expression for ¥24,200 (around US$178) exclusively on Broccoli’s online shop.
Rent-a-Girlfriend is coming back for its second season on July 1. TMS Entertainment is animating the series, with Kazuomi Koga directing it. Kanna Hirayama is doing the character designs and Hyadain is composing the music. The anime series has previously released character trailers for its main female characters – including Ruka Sarashina, Sumi Sakurasawa, Mami Nanami, and Chizuru Mizuhara.
TMS Entertainment also animated the first season of the anime adaptation, which had 12 episodes and aired in the summer of 2020.
Rent-a-Girlfriend is based on a manga by Reiji Miyajima. Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes the plot as:
