Master Robe’s identity was finally revealed in the previous episode of Shadows House Season 2 and the episode 9 preview might allow us to learn more about their motivation. The episode will air on Friday, September 2. This week’s preview is narrated by Emilico and Kate, who are voiced by Yu Sasahara and Akari Kito:

Kate and her friends finally discover that Master Robe is in fact Maryrose. While Kate’s group is in pursuit of her true motives for causing the ghostly commotion, Maryrose tells them a cruel secret of the mansion.
The latest episodes of Shadows House are available on Crunchyroll, as the service is streaming the anime on a weekly basis. This season is animated by studio CloverWorks, which also worked on the first season, and the theme songs include:

Shadows House anime is based on a manga by Somato. It started publishing in Sheuisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018. Yen Press licensed the manga and describes the plot as:
Shadows House-a strange mansion that receives no callers, inhabited by a race of faceless shadows who play at being aristocrats and are waited on hand and foot by “living dolls,” who also serve as their masters’ faces.
