Call of the Night anime’s non-credit opening video with Creepy Nuts’ “Daten” hit 5 million views on YouTube, less than two months after being uploaded on the platform on July 8. Studio LIDENFILMS is animating the adaptation of Kotoyama’s manga with the same name under Tomoyuki Itamura’s direction. The opening them song’s single CD release is scheduled for September 7.
The band posted on their YouTube channel a music video for the song with English subtitles on August 4, which has been viewed more than 8.1 million times as of the time of writing:
The hip-hop unit also performed “Daten” on THE FIRST TAKE, which is “dedicated to shooting musicians and singers performing in a single take.” The video includes not only their song but also their little chat before and after their performance with English subtitles. It has attracted over 1 million views so far.
The ending theme, which is also performed by Creepy Nuts, is titled “Yofukashi no Uta” and was uploaded on July 22. It has surpassed 2.3 million views on the platform as of now.

Kotoyama has been running the Call of the Night series in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. The series will release its thirteenth volume on September 15, 2022. The manga was named after Creepy Nuts’ song of the same name, “Yofukashi no Uta” in Japanese.
