Marika Kono and Rie Takahashi Join Beast Tamer Cast

The official Twitter of the upcoming anime The Beast Tamer Who Was Exiled from His Party Meets a Cat Girl From the Strongest Race revealed two more cast members. Voice actress Marika Kono will voice the divine girl Nina while Rie Takahashi is playing Stella, the vice-captain of the Horizon Knights branch. A visual and trailer were previously announced and the first episode is slated to air on October 2.

MADKID will perform the opening song “Change the World,” while Marika Kono performs the ending song “LOVE&MOON.” The cast of Beast Tamer includes:

  • Shoya Chiba as Rein
  • Azumi Waki as Kanade
  • Rumi Okubo as Tanya
  • Minami Tanaka as Sora
  • Maria Sashide as Luna

Studio EMT Squared is animating the series with Atsushi Nigorikawa as director. Takashi Aoshima is supervising the scripts, Shuhei Yamamoto is doing the character designs, and Yuki Hayashi, Alisa Okehazama, and Naoyuki Chikatani are composing the music. The anime is based on the light novel series written by Suzu Miyana and illustrated by Hotosoka titled Yusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyo Shuzoku Nekomimi Shojo to Deau. A manga adaptation by Moto Shigemura is currently ongoing with 6 volumes in circulation.

The plot follows Rein, who was banished from the hero’s party because his only skill was being able to communicate with animals to get them to listen to his orders. In order to continue his life, he became an adventurer, and along the way, he met a demihuman with cat ears, who is a part of the strongest species in the world. After that fateful meeting, his life begins to change for the better.
